Flat Track

The Harley-Davidson XR-750, introduced in 1970, was originally crafted for dirt track racing, later diversifying into road racing with the XRTT model. Its development was spurred by a 1969 rule adjustment in the AMA Grand National Championship, which aimed to create fairer competition among motorcycle brands. Prior to this change, Harley-Davidson's KR race bike had faced tough competition from Japanese and British motorcycles. Despite this challenge, the XR-750 emerged as a dominant force in American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) racing history, securing the highest number of victories.
